NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend the Kelly Strayhorn Theater for continuing to be a staple of entertainment in East Liberty; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, September 25, 2018, to be “Kelly-Strayhorn Theater Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

Resolution amending and supplementing Resolution number 479 of 2013, as amended entitled “Resolution Providing for an Agreement or Agreements, or use of existing Agreements and/or a Contract or Contracts, or use of existing Contracts, and for the purchase of materials, supplies, equipment, and/or services for various projects in connection with the City Council Neighborhood Needs Program in Council District 7; and providing for the payment of the costs thereof” so as to close multiple projects and transfer $7,000 to East Liberty Development Inc.

Resolution further amending Resolution No. 74, effective February 29, 2012 entitled “Providing for an Agreement or Agreements, or use of existing Agreements and/or a Contract or Contracts, or use of existing Contracts, and for the purchase of materials, supplies, equipment, and/or services for various projects in connection with the City Council Neighborhood Needs Program; and providing for the payment of the costs thereof”, by transferring $83,008.42 to East Liberty Development Inc for the purpose of hiring a consultant and doing minor capital projects. Total of all projects is not to exceed $264,758.42.

Resolution further amending and supplementing Resolution No. 855 of 2011, entitled “adopting and approving the 2012 capital budget and the 2012-2017 Capital Improvement Program” by transferring $80,080.67 83,008.42 to East Liberty Development Inc for the purpose of hiring a consultant and doing minor capital projects.

Resolution approving execution of a Deed by and between the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh and the City of Pittsburgh for the sale of Disposition Parcel A-9, Block 51-H, Lot 322, in the 8th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, the East Liberty Neighborhood - Baum Boulevard and South Negley Avenue - Council District No. 9 (community parklet).

Resolution further amending Resolution No. 833, effective January 1, 2002, as amended, entitled “Adopting and approving the 2002 Capital Budget and the 2002 Community Development Block Grant Program; and approving the 2002 through 2007 Capital Improvement Program,” by reducing East Liberty -Penn Circle by $171,105.47 and Lower Saw Mill Run by $150,000 to close the projects.

Resolution further amending Resolution No. 948, effective January 1, 2004, as amended, entitled “Adopting and approving the 2004 Capital Budget and the 2004 Community Development Block Grant Program; and approving the 2004 through 2009 Capital Improvement Program,” by reducing East Liberty -Penn Circle by $1,440,000.00 to close the project.

Resolution further amending Resolution No. 704, effective January 1, 2008, as amended, entitled “Adopting and approving the 2008 Capital Budget and the 2008 Community Development Block Grant Program; and approving the 2008 through 2013 Capital Improvement Program,” by reducing East Liberty -Penn Circle by $666,696.00 close the project.

Resolution amending Resolution No. 137, effective April 2, 2014, entitled: providing for the filing of a Community Development statement by the City of Pittsburgh with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for a grant in connection with the 2011 Community Development Block Grant Program; providing for the execution of grant contracts and for the filing of other data providing for required assurances; providing for execution of payment vouchers on letter of credit and for certification of authorized signature; the deposit of the funds in a bank account and providing for the payment of expenses within categories, so as to reprogram funds in City Council from: “East Liberty Concerned Citizens” (-$2,000.00), 'Friendship Development Association” (-$4,000.00) and “Friendship Preservation Group” (-$4,000.00) and transfer these funds to “Pittsburgh Action Against Rape” (+$3,000.00),“Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force” (+$3,000.00) “Community Human Services” (+$2,000.00) and “East End Cooperative Ministry” (+$2,000.00).

Resolution further amending Resolution No. 619, effective January 1, 2005, as amended, entitled “Adopting and approving the 2005 Capital Budget and the 2005 Community Development Block Grant Program; and approving the 2005 through 2010 Capital Improvement Program,” by reducing East Liberty- Penn Circle by $140,000.00 and South Millvale Avenue Bridge by $140,000.00 to close the projects.
