Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of City Planning to enter into an agreement or agreements with members of the Zoning Board of Adjustment, for payment of services for duties related to any and all activities of the Zoning Board of the City of Pittsburgh. Resolution amending Resolution No. 39, effective February 4, 2013, entitled: “Resolution providing for an Agreement or Agreements with various community organizations for operational/administrative expenses, maintenance, purchase of equipment and/or rehabilitation of neighborhood facilities and the benefit of residents of the City of Pittsburgh; and further, authorizing various City Departments to enter into contract or contracts or use existing contract or contracts for street paving, the purchase of equipment and/or furniture and other related costs at a costs not to exceed $948,400.00” so as to transfer funds in City Council from: “Observatory Hill, Inc.” (-$3,000) , and transfer these funds to “Northside Youth Athletic Association” (+$1,000.00), The Promise Group +$2,000.

Washington Community Development Corporation - Resource Coordinator” (-$55,000.00), and transfer these funds to “Grandview Lions Club - Senior Grass Cutting” (+$15,000.00) and “Sheraden Community Council” (+$40,000.00).

Resolution amending Resolution No. 68, effective February 8, 2013, entitled: Amending the Capital Budget and providing for the filing of a Community Development statement by the City of Pittsburgh with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for a grant in connection with the 2012 Community Development Block Grant Program; providing for the execution of grant contracts and for the filing of other data providing for required assurances; providing for execution of payment vouchers on letter of credit and for certification of authorized signature; the deposit of the funds in a bank account and providing for the payment of expenses within categories, so as to reprogram funds within City Council from “Mt. Washington Community Development Corporation - Resource Coordinator” (-$55,000.00), and transfer these funds to “Grandview Lions Club - Senior Grass Cutting” (+$15,000.00) and “Sheraden Community Council” (+$40,000.00).

BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare April 25, 2013 to be "NAACP Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and honor the important work of Comcast on its 12th Comcast Cares Day for its dedicated service toward the improvement of our communities, and does hereby declare Saturday, April 27, 2013, to be “Comcast Cares Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Denise Zellous for beating the odds and giving back to her community; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, April 23, 2013, to be “Denise Zellous Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh celebrates the work of the students of Brookline, reminding residents to take pride in the cleanliness of their neighborhood; and THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Saturday, April 27, 2013 to be Brookline Anti-Litter Poster Contest Day in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the Boys Varsity Swim Team for their hard work and achievement; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, April 23, 2013, to be “The Obama Academy Boys Varsity Swim Team Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize The Clean Rivers Campaign for expanding the spirit of Earth Day into tangible action; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare April 23, 2013 to be “Clean Rivers Campaign Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
