NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby celebrate Annie “Lois” Carter on the milestone of her 90th Birthday and thank her for her service to our city; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare, September 19, 2026, to be “Annie ‘Lois’ Carter Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
Ordinance amending the Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances, Title Five: Traffic, Article VII: Parking, Chapter 541: General Parking Regulations, Section 541.02: Prohibitions in Specified Places, to remove language providing an exception to parking prohibitions for the protection of a vehicle.
Resolution further amending Resolution No. 855 of 2011, effective December 29, 2011, as amended, entitled “Resolution adopting and approving the 2011 Capital Budget and the 2011 Community Development Block Grant Program, and the 2011 through 2016 Capital Improvement Program” by reducing DISTRICT 1 NEIGHBORHOOD NEEDS by fifty-five thousand dollars ($55,000.00) and increasing PARK RECONSTRUCTION by fifty-five thousand dollars ($55,000.00).
Resolution amending Resolution No. 245 approved April 21, 2015, providing for the implementation of a Residential Parking Permit Program (RPPP) Area "HH" in the Central Northside Community (Council District #1), to expand the district to include an additional address pursuant to Pittsburgh Code Chapter 549.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does recognize and congratulate Destiny of Faith Church on the occasion of its 15th Anniversary and commends Reverend Dr. Brenda J. Gregg and the congregation for their continued service, leadership, and commitment to the Pittsburgh community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does commend Partners For Quality for their continued dedication to providing impactful services to those in need and for being an active member in the community; AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares Saturday, May 9, 2026, to be Steel City Duck Derby Day here in the City of Pittsburgh.
