Resolution authorizing the Pittsburgh Parking Authority to enter into an agreement, per a Memo of Understanding, with Carnegie Mellon University and Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, Inc. regarding a one-year pilot project for an Institute Managed Dynamic Pricing study for on-street metered parking on Tech Street, Frew Street, Margaret Morrison Street, and portions of Schenley Drive, Panther Hollow Road, and Frank Curto Drive.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize American Diabetes Month and the efforts of the American Diabetes Association to raise awareness and promote healthy living; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare November, 2012 “American Diabetes Month” in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend and congratulate Pittsburgh Allderdice High School on its progressive, visionary and compassionate efforts to connect with the disaster affected students in Japan through the Kizuna Project and recognizes the teachers and students in the Allderdice Japanese Program for hosting the students and for presenting this compelling experience to the public; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Thursday, November 8, 2012, to be “KIZUNA PROJECT DAY” in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the critical role that the Greenfield Baseball Association has played in the community, commends those GBA volunteers who have given unselfishly of their time and congratulates the honorees at the Annual Awards Dinner for their contributions to the Greenfield community; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Saturday, November 10, 2012, to be “GREENFIELD DAY” in the City of Pittsburgh.
