CABLECAST POST AGENDA RELATIVE TO HIV/AIDS

Resolution further amending Resolution No. 772, effective January 1, 2013, as amended, entitled “Adopting and approving the 2013 Capital Budget and the 2013 Community Development Block Grant Program; and approving the 2013 through 2018 Capital Improvement Program,” by reducing Planning and Management (-$50,000.00), Comprehensive Plan (-$150,000.00), Community Streetscape Planning (-$275,100.00), Firefighting Equipment (-$250,000.00), Firefighting Grant Matching Funds (-$1,674.00), Flex Beam Guiderails (-$50,000.00), Splash Zones (-$250,000.00), Refinish Gym Floors (-$40,000.00), and Dog Parks (-$200,000.00) and increasing Street Resurfacing (+$1,266,774.00).

Resolution further amending Resolution No. 855, effective January 1, 2012, as amended, entitled “Adopting and approving the 2012 Capital Budget and the 2012 Community Development Block Grant Program; and approving the 2012 through 2017 Capital Improvement Program,” by reducing Elevator Repair and Maintenance (-$100,000.00), Ivondale Street Property Acquisition (-$30,000.00), Planning and Management ($75,000.00), Decentralization of BBI Employees (-$50,000.00), Liberty Avenue Street Improvements (-$150,000.00), and Portman Slope (-109,524.58) and increasing Street Resurfacing (+$514,524.58).

Resolution vacating Stanhope Street from Stafford Street to the southern Sheradan Park boundary in the 20th Ward, 2nd Council District of the City of Pittsburgh.

Resolution accepting the dedication by the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh of certain streets in the South Side Works project in the 16th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh for public highway and utility purposes, accepting the grading, paving, street lighting, curbing, traffic signals, establishment of grades and fixing the width and position of roadways and sidewalks thereof. (Council District 3).

Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works to enter into an Ownership and Maintenance Agreement with the Sports and Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County to maintain at the City's sole cost and expense, the completed streets in the Lower Hill Development, in Council District 6 of the City of Pittsburgh.

Resolution authorizing the City of Pittsburgh's Department of Public Works to assume responsibility for the year round maintenance, repair, and future alterations of facilities constructed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as part of the PA Route 28 Roadway Improvement Project, subject to City Council's final approval. .

Resolution granting to The Community Alliance of Spring Garden-East Deutschtown (CASGED), a non-profit corporation, a license to plant and maintain landscaped plantings so that CASGED may maintain a landscaped garden and plantings beginning at the Sarah Heinz Pedestrian Bridge and extending 2,100 feet north along Route 28, in the Twenty Third Ward (23rd) Ward, Council District 1 of the City of Pittsburgh.

Resolution authorizing a Cooperation Agreement or Agreements with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh providing for the transfer to the City of Pittsburgh $9,900 to pay for the costs incurred constructing and installing the large street name signs for the Penn Circle Renaming project. (Council Districts 8 and 9)

Resolution adopting Plan Revision to the City of Pittsburgh's Official Sewage Facilities Plan for Whole Foods Building Expansion at 5880 Centre Ave, Pittsburgh 15206.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize, commend and congratulate the "Minadeo Marathoners" on their commitment to healthy living and their dedication to their school and their team ; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, , that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Saturday, May 3, 2014, to be "MINADEO MARATHONERS DAY " in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize, commend and congratulate The Squirrel Hillbillies for their innovative music style and their enjoyable, entertaining performances ; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, April 29. 2014, to be “THE SQUIRREL HILLBILLIES DAY” in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby pay tribute to Mendelson Gallery's 40 year love affair with the arts, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare May 2, 2014, “Steve Mendelson Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare April 29, 2014 to be “Brenda Tate Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and honor Evan Mirapaul, Thorsten Brinkmann, and all others who assisted in the creation of La H?tte Royal - most notably Anne Stone, Gavin White, and Daniel Menges - for transforming an abandoned home into a one of a kind, world-renowned modern art work; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday April 29, 2014 to be “Evan Mirapaul Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby congratulate the Center for Traumatic Stress for Children and Adolescents at Allegheny General Hospital for their 20 years and commend them for their tremendous work and dedication to children and families; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, April 29, 2014, to be “The Center for Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby proclaim Tuesday, April 29th, 2014 to be “WYEP 40th Anniversary Day” in the City of Pittsburgh; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh celebrates WYEP's longstanding positive contribution to the City of Pittsburgh and looks forward to another 40 years of independent, community-oriented radio.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Friday, May 2, 2014 to be “Pittsburgh Fringe Festival Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh celebrates the achievements of the team for winning the 2014 Pittsburgh Class B Diocesan Girls' Basketball Championship and does hereby proclaim April 29th, 2014 to be “Brookline Regional Catholic Girls' Junior Varsity Basketball Day” in the City of Pittsburgh; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh celebrates the outstanding athletic achievements of coaches Ian Barrett and Mark Bernotas and team members Vanessa Hudson, Amanda Santora, Sarah Merlina, Sydney Carr, Alexia Bernotas, Maleah Neiport, Gianna Facchiano, Kendall Calanish, Emily Meador, Samantha Chatham, and Maggie Wilson.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend Lois McCafferty for her stellar achievements serving the Brookline neighborhood and the City of Pittsburgh as a whole; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby proclaim Sunday, April 27th, 2014 as “Lois McCafferty Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize, commend and congratulate Deborah McGowan for her patient and passionate approach to the people that she serves and for her dedicated service to the City of Pittsburgh; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Friday, May 2, 2014 to be “DEBBIE MCGOWAN DAY “ in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend the Jewish Family and Children's Service of Pittsburgh on its impact and imprint in the Pittsburgh region and congratulates David Lassman for receiving the Mermelstein Award for his leadership and dedication at the agency's Annual Meeting ; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Thursday, May 15, 2014 to be “ JEWISH FAMILY AND CHILDREN'S SERVICES DAY” in the City of Pittsburgh.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend the 2013 retirees for their dedication and commitment to protecting and servicing the people of the City of Pittsburgh; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Friday, April 25, 2014 to be “FOP Fort Pitt Lodge #1 Retirees Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
