NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh declares its support for the resettlement of refugees no matter their religion, race, nationality, or country of origin, in the United State and calls on other communities to join them in supporting a stronger national effort to resettle the most vulnerable refugees; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby calls on President Donald Trump to raise the refugee admissions cap to a level that better meets the growing number of persons forced to flee their country because of persecution, war, or violence.
