NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend the late Dr. Woodson and the Dr. Edna B. McKenzie Branch of ASALH for the work they have done to promote, research, preserve, interpret and disseminate information about Black life, history and culture to the global community, especially in the creation of Black History Month.
