NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council urges all residents to remain vigilant and practice safe conduct near rail crossings and rights-of-way, and to actively support initiatives that maintain the safety, efficiency, and economic importance of Pittsburgh’s rail network within our regional transportation system; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby proclaim the month of September, 2025 to be “Rail Safety Month” in the City of Pittsburgh.
