WHEREAS, born and raised in Hazelwood to parents, Palma Carpenter and John West, Helen Dennis has been a well-known and beloved pillar of the Hazelwood neighborhood; and, WHEREAS, having worked at both Post Offices, Helen, whose strong work ethic is evident in everything she does, belongs to the Hazelwood Active Senior Center, takes part in the Senior Games, cleans up trash in the neighborhood, is a member of the Morningstar Baptist Church and is just such a welcoming and friendly person to everyone she meets; and, WHEREAS, Helen plays cards, bingo, travels, gardens and visits the sick.
