NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that The Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby urges the Pennsylvania State Senate and Governor Tom Wolf to pass House Bill 1419, known as the “Dignity for Incarcerated Women” Act, intended to improve conditions and treatment of pregnant people in Pennsylvania’s jails and prisons. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Will of Council shall be sent to the Allegheny County Delegation of the Pennsylvania General Assembly and Governor Tom Wolf.
