NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and honor the Allegheny General Hospital Diabetes Committee, the Joslin Diabetes Center at West Penn Hospital, the American Diabetes Association and the Pennsylvania Diabetes Action Partnership for their commitment towards increasing diabetes awareness; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby proclaim Wednesday, November 14, 2012, to be “World Diabetes Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
