NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend Marlo Thomas for her extraordinary commitment to social justice and equality for all Americans and congratulates her for her work on behalf of women, children and families. In addition, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh welcomes Marlo Thomas to the City of Pittsburgh on the occasion of the 120th Anniversary of NCJW; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare May 30, 2013, to be “ MARLO THOMAS DAY ” in the City of Pittsburgh.
