THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does recognize and congratulate WPTS for its ranking by MTV and MTVu as one of the top-5 college radio stations in the United States, as well as for the station's impact in providing the Pittsburgh community with quality progressive music, news, and sports programming, while also serving as an essential classroom environment equipping University of Pittsburgh student interested in careers in broadcast, communications, journalism, marketing, and organizational management with vital hands on experience; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, May 28th 2013 “92.1 WPTS Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
