NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh for their dedication to providing education and support to Pittsburgh's scientific community; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare July 30th, 2013 to be “Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
