NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition - Pittsburgh Chapter - for their commitment and diligence in educating the community on early detection and treatment of ovarian cancer and congratulates the Chapter on their successful Run/Walk to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer ; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, , that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare September 2013, to be “ OVARIAN CANCER AWARENESS MONTH” in the City of Pittsburgh.
