NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize both Shirley Gleditsch and the staff and supporters of the East End Community Thrift Store for their lasting contributions to the local, regional, and global community; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby proclaim May 22, 2014, as “Shirley Gleditsch Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
