NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend Amnesty International Pittsburgh Local Group 39 for its remarkable work to promote human rights and supports the Human Rights Festival, Write-A-Thon and Candle Lighting. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare December 8, 2014, to be “AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL PITTSBURGH HUMAN RIGHTS FESTIVAL AND WRITE-A-THON DAY” in the City of Pittsburgh.
