NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the Pittsburgh Polar Plunge for its outstanding work in giving individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and foster unique friendships and memories that extend well beyond the playing field; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare December 6, 2014 to be “Pittsburgh Polar Plunge Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
