NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh recognizes the inalienable right of all Pennsylvanians to be protected from discrimination regardless of race, color, familial status, religious creed, ancestry, age, sex, national origin, handicap or disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Council of the City of Pittsburgh urges our fellow citizens of the Commonwealth- straight, gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender, or questioning- to insist that our representatives correct this miscarriage of justice and that each and every state legislator at long last recognize the inherent dignity of every human being by expeditiously guaranteeing equal protection under law of all Pennsylvanians.
