NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council and Mayor of Pittsburgh declare that from April 9, 2015, onward Grant Street shall be dedicated to the memory of General and President Ulysses S. Grant, his efforts toward the preservation of the Union, the abolition of slavery, and the restoration of African-American suffrage, and that a bronze plaque of local manufacture be erected on an appropriate public building marking this change.
