NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Michael John McCarthy for his extraordinary football achievements, including winning a Super Bowl, for his leadership ability, toughness and football knowledge and commends and congratulates Mike McCarthy for his dedication to his hometown because you can take the boy out of Greenfield but you can never take Greenfield out of the boy; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Sunday, August 23, 2015 to be “ COACH MIKE McCARTHY DAY ” in the City of Pittsburgh.
