NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend LaShawn Reed for the completion of her first novel and for her commitment to the young women in the City of Pittsburgh; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, February 16, 2016, to be “LaShawn Reed Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
