NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend the African Methodist Churches for more than 149 years of dedicated service and commitment to the residents of the City of Pittsburgh; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares September 12 through September 17, 2016 to be “African Methodist Episcopal Churches Annual Conference Week” in the City of Pittsburgh.
