THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh wishes to honor the life and legacy of Officer Ron Smith and extends its warmest wishes to his family upon the unveiling of a plaque in his honor at the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society on Monday, September 26, 2016; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in honor of Officer Smith’s legacy, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Monday, September 26th to be “Ron Smith Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
