NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize The Pierians for celebrating and supporting the contributions of African-American artists and welcomes the group to Pittsburgh for its 18th National Assembly; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare the week of October 20-23, 2016 to be “The Pierians National Assembly Week” in the City of Pittsburgh.
