NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the Hebrew Free Loan Association of Pittsburgh for its longstanding commitment to assisting those in need and congratulates the HFLA for 130 years of lending that promotes self-sufficiency and independence; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Sunday, May 21 , 2017, to be “HEBREW FREE LOAN ASSOCIATION OF PITTSBURGH DAY” in the City of Pittsburgh.
