NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Eli Murphy for achieving the title of champion of the boys division of the 94th National Marbles Tournament and for creating a place for Pittsburgh’s kids to learn and appreciate the game of marbles; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare July 18th, 2017 to be "Eli Murphy Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
