Resolution authorizing the Mayor, Director of Public Safety, and Chief of the Bureau of Neighborhood Empowerment to execute relevant agreements to receive grant funding to support the creation of a Multicultural Liaison Unit (MLU). The unit will organize a series of Know your rights Sessions, Public Safety videos translated into different languages, Community meetings, Immigrant and Refugee Public Safety Academy, all to build a trustworthy and sustainable relationship between Public Safety and the Immigrant and refugee population. And further providing for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed fifty thousand ($50,000) dollars for this stated purpose.
