NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and honor Alethea Wieland for her contributions to the scientific community, as well as contributions to the scientific community, and of women in Pittsburgh; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, September 26th, 2017 to be “Women In Bio Day of P.O.W.E.R.” in the City of Pittsburgh.
