NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and commend Elaine Effort for her dedication to providing open, honest, and reliable news coverage, celebrates her decades of service to the Pittsburgh community, and wishes her the best during her retirement; and, BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare December 28, 2017 to be “Elaine Effort Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
