NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Mr. Sumpter for a life’s work of service and civic contribution to the City of Pittsburgh; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, February, 27, 2018 to be “Thomas Howard Sumpter Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
