NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Gary J. Niels for his strong leadership, commitment to quality education, and impact on the community during his time as Head of School for Winchester Thurston School; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare May 11, 2018 to be “Gary Niels Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.
